項目規模：陸域面積392.92平方公里，其中主島海壇島陸域面積324.13平方公里，離島鄉鎮陸域面積68.79平方公里。
The study area covers 392.92 square kilometres divided into 324.13 square kilometres of land area in Haitan Island as a main island and 68.79 square kilometres of land area in villages and towns away from the island.
With the diverse features of Pingtan landscape, this plan makes urban landscape positioning suitable for its own characters of Pingtan, the plan focused on guiding the city’s overall image and local characteristics from various aspects and emphasizing the feasibility for the implementation stage. The project goal is to respect local characters with the shape of the existing urban features and protect ecologic resources with mountains, bays, islands and villages.
The detailed plan included promoting the local characteristic landscape resources of mountains, bays, islands and villages; optimizing public space networks, signal landscape systems, architectural feature systems and urban landscape systems, as well as establishing connections between the urban image nodes and local characteristic elements. The urban and rural landscape network with the road landscape, recreation system and landscape corridors were integrated.
