Yangpu district is located in the northeast of the central district of Shanghai, the northwest coast of Huangpu River, across the river from Pudong new area, next to Hongkou district in the west, and bordering Baoshan district in the north, with a planning area of about 60.61 square km.
With the improvement for the functional positioning and development strategy of Yangpu Riverside, the urban design is to clarify the image orientation and key concept of Yangpu Riverside development based on the resource conditions of the century-old industrial civilization of Yangpu district. Overall urban design with the space layout includes:
- Industrial positioning and functional planning
- Development scale and spatial structure;
- Waterfront open space and landscape features;
- Infrastructure support and underground space utilization.
